Note to self: If you see someone in the hallway with a light saber run

Obi-wan is defense
Vader is Offense
Luke is both

From technical standpoint, Luke had the toughest enemies, Obi-Wan had the toughest circumstance having to protect Leia as well as being out of practice.

Nothing beats Vader's hallway scene. It's iconic at this point.

Ya know its funny. I think the Luke and Vadar hallway scenes are so well received is because they portray Luke in Vader in the way fans wanted to see them. Full powered Vader finally being able to show himself off with the proper set up in the movie. And Jedi Master Luke finally appearing in ways people so desperately wanted to see him

You can see how much Luke evolved from RTOJ. His movements are effortless and you can tell he wasn’t even trying. We need a Jedi Master Luke series

Vader "I killed everyone in the hallway"
Maul "I killed everyone with the hallway"
Luke "I killed no one in the hallway"
Obi Wan "Everyone in the hallway killed themselves... except for that one trooper and the water"

Luke’s was the best of the three. Perfect mix of offensive & defensive power plus unstoppable yet serene confidence.

As Iconic and poetic as the mirroring hallway scenes are for Luke and Vader with one bringing hope against adversity and destruction among despair. I do love the Obi-Wan scene because Luke and Vader's are two force users who are highly proficient due to their activity at the time whilst Obi-Wan is that of a man who hasn't used a Lightsaber in 10 years just jumping back on the wagon and rediscovering himself

I'm really happy the actor that played Baylan got to join this club before his passing. He was truly the perfect fit for his role and he'll be greatly missed.

Vader hallway scene was one of the best parts of rogue one, Vader as a character was so into it that he risked his life just so that he could be menacing

And this is where Kenobi shows himself the grandmaster of Form III. Out of practice with a child to escort, and he still blocks every shot, while having the presence of mind to then use the collapse of the walls to drown his adversaries in one stroke at just the right moment.

He’s not a living typhoon of destructive saber combat or a Force god like Luke or Vader. But he acquits himself splendidly under the circumstances while facing a far worse handicap than the other two.

That fact when Luke is more scary then Vader is gosebumps. Pure confidence as he walks and strikes. But still light side.

I love the difference between Obi-wan's scene compared to the other two. While the other two were moving forward and dominating their opponents, Obi-wan was on the defensive the whole time and blocking/redirecting shots. While the other two triumphed with their strength, Obi-wan turned the tides by turning a dire scenario (the window cracking) into an advantage, showcasing his quick thinking instead.

Luke as a Jedi Master is something we needed to see and boy how great is Luke as a Jedi Master here than in that silly sequel they made.

1:24 I remember the whole movie theatre let out a gasp at the same time. Me and my dad looked at each other. I never saw him smile like that. My dad was born in 1968 and was at the grand launch of star wars. Can't imagine what he felt at that moment. His entire childhood made a comeback. And at the end of the scene, my dad told me to rush to the car to watch a new hope with him so we can experience like a transition

I love my dad

Edit: my dad watched the launch of every star wars movie since 1977

Rogue one was his fsvourite because he spent it with me

Luke is beautiful to watch. Very harmonic and languorous.

There's always light at the end of the tunnel. The light: 1:31

Vader slaps hard.
But I never seen a light saber fight as fluid as Luke's hallway scene its like a figure skater on ice always in motion.

I love how with the Obi-Wan scene they took huge inspiration from the Jedi Fallen Order game. Great reference.
