We spent the whole movie watching blasters and soldiers, we all temporarily forgot about the sheer power of a force user who can do all of what Rogue one did in matter of seconds.

I love how recently Vader has been depicted as the unstoppable force of evil that he is like in this scene where it shows that the rebels had absolutely no chance of dealing him so much as a scratch and like in Jedi Fallen Order when you fight him he just manhandles you immediately and you must run from him instead of fighting him. Adds a lot to his character as a brutal Sith Lord with nothing to lose.

When Darth Vader lit his lightsaber and the expression on that soldier's face along with the music playing in the background is so haunting

I'll never get over just how incredible this depiction of Vader is.
In the beginning, he's deftly wielding his lightsaber in a way that someone who's trained their whole life would.
But, once he strips the rebels of their weapons, he turns into a butcher.
You can practically feel the anger and hatred in each swing.
It's so good.

I love that this movie re-establishes Vader as a terrifying badass. Vader has been such a stable of pop culture for so long there are more jokes/parodies of Vader than actual badass moments. But for the first time since the 70s Vader was terrifying again.

Can't help but really admire that the one rebel (and the actor playing him) trying to get the door open. When Vader is right on top of him he still has enough grit in him to make sure the plans are still protected and delivered. The sheer terror in his voice as he passes the plans to the other side of the door sounded *_so_* real.
