Sydney Zaruba here - I have been living my entire life on the ocean, i've learned there are some things to do with sailing you don't know until you get out there. Things such as reading lights, books and face washing tips - they are all taught to you only by being out there. From my collection of days sailing, you really do learn aboard that its about the journey, and not the destination, as cliche as that might sound. What everyone definitely does tell you about sailing, that you're never prepared for - is just how much you're going to love it!

I am a Florida-based native, who runs 2 businesses and travels all over the world.

I was born in Key West, Florida, and we moved to Saint Augustine, FL when I was 6, after about 10 years of my parents working at a water sports business in the Keys. In 2016, toward the end of my college career, I moved to Florence, Italy, after having studied abroad there through my university the year before.

I traveled all over Italy and Europe, with only the intention to stay for a few months, when a friend of mine offered me work. My goal is to give people down-to-earth travel advice, tips, and tricks.

I want to share my own unique story of how I came to be where I am now. I believe everything happens for a reason, and I want to help people find their own way, with the help of my logical travel advice.
My advice to all travelers and those who want to take on the world; You can't plan out your whole life, float to where the wind takes you.
