I don't know what your vocation is, but you should be a teacher, you are clear precise, I even could build a deck after your instructions. You're a blessing. Hugs

I like the fact you comment on other options and how it could be done. To vex my daughter, there's more than one way to skin a cat:)

I’m surprised you do not have a north eastern accent. You explain all the steps so we can follow them perfectly.

Really love the way you explain and go into detail. My 1st job was at Home Depot and I miss the DIY projects but just a little research goes a long way. Thanks for your channel and are you still sore from jack hammering those steps? 🥺😅🤯

Omg THANK U! This was exactly the info I needed! Tackling my first deck build for my mom, hoping to show “the manly men” (that think I can’t do it) just how tough we ladies are. Since being in 2 abusive relationships I have learned to do a lot of my own DIY things and knocking off my moms hunny do list too😆

We're in western Oregon and used concrete footings on gravel. Made the 2nd one floating since we had some rotting of the siding with the first attached deck and our neighbor put his foot thru the top redwood boards! It rains a lot here and decks take a beating.

It would’ve been awesome to see this go up from start to finish, in clips of course. Nonetheless, it is self explanatory for anyone who familiar with this type of work.

Thanks for the video
