I recommend laying down woven wire fence like carpet directly on the ground like carpet first. This will prevent groundhogs from building dens under your deck.

We call those spacers “noggins”. Absolutely a must-have to stop the beams twisting.

How about a Q and A answering pricing questions. You do great work some of the best if not the best I see on youtube. I would love to know if craftsmanship like yours is affordable. Keep up the great work!

For those of us who don't know construction, but want to talk knowledgeably with contractors (to find out who knows his stuff and who's fake), it would have been handy to have these videos numbered somehow so that we could follow them in sequence. Still, thanks for a worthy video.

Good content. Tip to the video editor..., turn the volume of the music DOWN to the level of the speaker.

Thank you for your video. I would like to know if you used Joist Butyl Tape to prevent rot even though you used Madison wood for your decking.

Thats pretty funny looking pressure treated lumber! Never seen any pressure treated lumber 1 not have holes in it from the solution of treatment an 2 not be dark brown or green from the actual pressure treatment. Also i have the tables an in none of my tables does it show a doubled up 2x 12 is a dimensional beam that you can use you gotta triple the 2x material or use a Real 4x or 6x beam
