I really liked the fallout 3 gritty monochrome look. It sets the tone of the game and you'd instantly recognize that it's a grim place. Fallout 4 feels like nature is trying to take over with humanity as a relic. It really depends on what your taste are I guess.

Ugh. Do people not realize that if you like how Fallout 3 looks better than 4, it's strictly personal preference? Maybe you like the color scheme better, or the environment is more appealing to you specifically... but if you actually, really, TRULY believe that Fallout 3's graphics look better than 4, then you need to re-evaluate anything you've ever seen with your eyes, because they may not be working properly.
Sure, you may like the way 3 looks better, but the quality is far inferior. Please realize the difference.

I've never played any Fallout game in my life, I'm probably missing out. So from an unbiased standpoint on gameplay, story, and character development. I'd say that Fallout 4 doesn't look like a gigantic improvement from Fallout 3. In fact, the graphics don't look astounding compared to other A++ games in 2015. That's not a bad thing, here's why. It means that instead of grabbing the latest games for the best graphics, players are buying the game for something other than that, like the story, or the gameplay, even the multiplayer. I absolutely love that.

I'll be honest, fallout 4 looks better on a technical term; however, fallout 3 definitely captures the fallout aspect and vibe more effectively, which is why I think it looks better.
