Spence is about as pure and basic a boxer as you get. Everything Is thrown properly, feet in the right spots, timing and more, all textbook. He just has a lot of power and conditioning to add to what is essentially the textbook boxer. His lack of sloppiness is his superpower. He constantly gets you when you start to slip a little, or feint you in to one hard shot after another while keeping a clean guard and good movement to avoid taking a lot.

Crawford is also as technically clean as Spence when he WANTS to be lol, but chooses as said here, a generally more open guard. He doesnt try to not languish early. His style IS languishing early and thats how he feels out timing and rhythms and more. Being a textbook clean boxer from BOTH stances just like Hagler however, on top of his canny countering? I think that takes the win here. Hes going to get hurt early. And if he can make it out of that, he usually turns the gas on by the 6th. After that, Spence has no chance, imo. Perfect switch hitters with a lot of power and good range in BOTH hands is super hard to beat.

As all you guys say here, Spence has to get one BIG lead early and then try to hold on to it. Hes 33. Crawford is only 2yrs older.

While Errol does have a great body attack, Bud is a terribly underrated body puncher as well. And he is easily the best counter puncher Spence has ever faced.

First live boxing event I'd ever been to was Spence vs. Porter in 2019. I did mainly because I knew I was watching a potential all-time great fighting in his prime, in Spence. Got love and respect for Errol, who is dynamic and a textbook great fighter. With that said, Terrence "Bud" Crawford is something different. He has one of the most gifted boxing skill sets I've ever seen in the history of the sport. Both of these guys are the real deal. I think Bud definitely has the edge, though. All boxing fans are in for a great fight and, most likely, a series of great fights between the two future legends.

Now that the fight is over it would be awesome to get a video breaking down Bud's victory. My two cents - he had the perfect strategy against Spence's non-stop pressure approach. Patience, timing, accurate counter-punching, and a VERY consistent high guard.
