INFJs have a stereotypically masculine temperament (IJ) and stereotypically feminine values. (NF) This creates some strong contrast between INFJ men and women.

I could CRY at the relief of feminine values, masculine temperament!

I want to look after everyone but be a masculine leader.

Very true I'm an INFJ woman. I always take on more than I should and become way to stressed, I've had serous anxiety issues before . It's tough. Lol. I try to have a balance. If I don't do much then I feel like, I'm being lazy. Yes I do get over looked and feel ignored by family / "friends"'at times. It's tough. I always feel alone... And spend a lot of time to myself. It actually doesn't bother me to have alone time. I truly don't like being an INFJ. I feel like a outcast in this world..

Sweetie, I am an ole lady witch. I am an INFJ and I gotta let you in on a few truths! You, my dear, are spot I first took the Briggs-Myers back in 1989 I think it was or somewhere around that time. I was working for the state of North Carolina in the medical field and we were all required to take the test. In a group of 11 women, I was the only INFJ. I couldn't understand at the time, but looking back, I see clearly and I suppose if Id been a bit older, I would have but my head was into men and music lol. Anyway, point is your gifts don't change they grow stronger and more add on if you practice. And you, Eric, impress me! You look young. And I mean no offense. Most young people are drawn to me and I have mostly friends who are in their 20s. I am 57 years old. I don't say it to embarrass you, but you have the wisdom of that dude on Star Wars. I forget his name Oh God forgive me I know half the universe is going to rain curses down on me for that lol. Anyway, I am very impressed with your advice, information and vast knowledge on the subject of INFJs as well as the other personality types. Great job on the videos. I am a new subscriber, specifically because of how well versed you are in the subject matter. Brilliant work hun. Peace ~~Dharke aka Carol

I feel like you just gave me the keys to myself somehow. All these years I have struggled against my infj ness. Now you are helping me to embrace it.

I think this is why I love public speaking as an INFJ Male, I get to share my unique perspective. I can't stand the stereotypical Ideas of maleness, the downside is i'm still ostracized for having the 2% perspective no matter how profound others may agree my perspective seems. I tend to use my Intuition in a more sloppy way because of the social consequences for being too intuitive.

spot on articulation of the infj hard masculine & soft feminine extremes. and the psychosocial environmental impact. I often envy (strong word) the ability of infj women to embrace those feminine qualities I have inside of me that I long to release and practice more often... I'm so well aware (self conscious) of my sloppy, overbearing, rough feminine qualities... and I'm sensitive to criticism of my misuse/clumsiness with them. 😔

Any INFJ males feel like the negative affects such as anxiety and bearing overly heavy loads are extremely common but for some reason talking about them is terrifying?

I appreciate that you mentioned the different expectations, placed on INFJ women. Especially if lower society, cuz we are still a society amongst ourselves 💕👑💖

I really like your videos and this one is perfect! As an INFJ women, I act a lot the way you described it but I sometimes take on a really strong support rôle with the friends I am close to. I also try to improve my leardership little by little and I see reallly great results! But... I really struggle sometimes on how to dose my energy level because I am really cherful and energetic but get exhausted really fast. Thanks a lot for the videos you make! It makes me feel better, and encourages me on my way :) :D

Spot On as Always Erik

I being an INFJ coming from parents that are INFJ'S birthing INFJ and an INFP
Was Blessed to meet a Fellow INFJ He the Yin to My Yang but at times the roles reversed we mirror each other.

He taught Me so much about Me called Me out on My Shit and vice verse I owe him a debt of gratitude for dosing me with the Reality of ME as us INFJ Woman do tend to have our heads in the clouds and get way to emotionally sensitive while at the same time being a bit too strong due to the cards we were dealt or dealt ourselves depending on how you look at it.

I do miss our daily tennis matches so to say and maybe some day the door he closed will reopen and if not I Am all the better for experiencing his thoughts.

I was raised by my mother who is a single parent and has a very strong "masuline" personality. That being said and being an INTJ, along with emotional scars in life, i'm more comfortable with showing my strength rather than my vulnerability. For this reason and because i was more confortable expressing my thoughts rather than feelings, for years i thought i was an INTJ. Now as i become more confortable in my skin i realize my true personality type and am trying to show more of my vulnerable side. Any other female infjs go through something similar?

I really liked you mentioning the feminine nuances and stating the difference with the masculine and appreciating both at the same time.
Tack för det!
(du har en härlig accent också)

One of the ways I think my masculinity comes out is being decisive. I can be quite decisive if I care/have a vested interest, to the point of do not cross me. If I don't mind though, I will offer others their way and it may look like I can't make a decision, because I give it away, which looks like encouraging others to take it. But I see no reason to push a decision unless it specifically matters to me that it goes one way. And maybe there is the feminine balance. Like I try to balance my intensity with giving way when I can, which is actually quite often. I guess that demonstrates your point, lol. So there you go.
And I see what you mean with the males as well. You come off very intuitive to me, though. Or perhaps it is a bolder ability to believe in and share your intuition. Again, what you said.

I am an INFP, or maybe an INFJ. Any way the NF are clearly the dominate traits.  And as a strong N, I find it hard to bond with other men, as sensors are just boring.  I prefer usually to work and be friends with women instead, as they generally seem more on the intuitive side.

The perfect non-stereotypical movie to watch for INFJs is WALL.E. It does an excellent job of portraying reverse roles in a good way. If anyone's interested I made a movie! =)

I'd be curious to expand on this and push the envelope further. I've noticed the stereotype with a lot of "NFs" is more "masculine women" and more "feminine males" but just to play devil's advocate here, I'd like to point out, that I'm an INFJ, i'm also a femme lesbian, one of my best friends is an ENFJ, she is a hard femme lesbian, two of my exes (both women) both NF middles (ENFP and INFJ), and a therapist I know (male) is bisexual. I'm curious if homosexuality (or tendencies) are more prevalent within INFJ, ENFJ, ENFP, INFP, types. Thoughts?
