How To Disable Microsoft Copilot Windows 11

Steps for completely disabling Copilot in Windows 11 Operating System

STEP 1
Open Microsoft Edge and Type in the address bar of Edge

edge://settings/sidebar

Disable Show Copilot -- Automatically open Copilot in the sidebar. Close Microsoft Edge.

STEP 2
Search for "Registry Editor" from taskbar or find it through Windows Control Panel and OPEN Registry Editor.

You'll need to create new folder/keys for turning off copilot completely.

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\

Right click Windows folder -- New -- Key -- WindowsCopilot (as in create a folder called 'WindowsCopilot'

Select WindowsCopilot folder you've created -- Right click and Create a DWORD value -- "TurnOffWindowsCopilot" and set its value to 1 (TRUE)

Restart Windows 11 and Copilot AI companion in Microsoft Windows 11 will be disabled.
