Reasonable question: Everyone is showing how to _disable_ this. _How about actually removing it?_ I never heard of this until I allowed my computer to update today. It did not ask me if I wanted AI, it just put it into my system uninvited. In my view, my computer is my property and I _do not_ want this - How do I get rid of it?

Funny how Windows calls added bloat a feature. A lot of them require your MS account so they can track your activity. Thanx for this Brian 👍👍👍

Thank you SO much. I could not get this off my machine and all the other videos were too messy. Straight to the point. Just what I needed. I really appreciate you and your time!

Thank you for the tutorial. I trust Microsoft about as much as the government (not at all), and adding any AI to my system makes me less comfortable than I already am. Disabling the feature makes the icon go away, but what files can be removed to get it completely off the system?

Thank you for the info.
I have Windows 11 Home and was at a loss on how to delete Copilot.
I will need to be on my laptop tomorrow morning so I may follow along.
Cheers, mate!!!

Actually it is using edge to run itself, it not a standalone app and its Using lots of Ram all the time even if you close it. Its stupid move by Microsoft, if microsoft really wants to introduce Windows copilot, it should be a standalone app and should not be running in background after closing.

I uninstalled Edge after i did the first tutorial but the copilot still stood on the corner of my screen. When asked it how to deactivate, it send me a video where it said copilot is linked to edge so for to uninstall it you need to get rid of Edge and so I did

After that I decided to follow to registry tutorial, but when i go Policies>Microsoft>windows, copilot doesn't show... is it actually gone ?

I know exactly how to do it. Don't install Windows 11. It is an OS, spyware, malware, and adware all rolled into one. It is far better at spying than it is as an OS, that is for sure.
It will never be allowed on any of my computers. And yes, I made the mistake of trying it. It almost made me wish for Windows 8.
Luckily, Linux covers all of my needs. I was reasonably happy with Windows 10, once I got all the Telemetry and Cortana ripped out of it. It was way too much work keeping the system free of MSpyware though. I sure as hell am not going to fight with that again. Goodbye, Microsoft. I'm certain you won't miss me. I won't be missing you, either.

I would never want this, but I appreciate you making videos for people who don't want it and also for those that do. Thank you!

this helps immensely, I saw the ad for this on this platform and it honeslty looked helpful, but I'm still not sold on having copilot on my pc especially taking up space on my taskbar.
