So appreciate this channel. I just found it this morning and I just tried this recipe with the swordfish. Of course I had to modify a little bit with it to match the ingredients I currently have on hand and make my own changes, however using this to cook and eat my very first swordfish filet was an amazing experience. I was able to cook the fish to Perfection, nothing raw or overcooked, I even sauteed the onions before I began cooking the filet. Swordfish seems to hold spices pretty well compared to where the fish I've cooked before and for this being the first saltwater fish I've cooked I can say that I'll definitely be getting more fillets in the future to try.

I said all that to say this, thanks for posting this video and sharing this because it really helped me with my first order fish fillet and I subscribed and I can't wait to check out what else you got so I can try some new recipes. You and your family take care and have a great one! 💗💗💗

Hey buddy, I know this is 3 years late- but good job on this video. I've never cooked swordfish, and this the first prep video I watched out of five most popular in the search and I came right back to this one. You're approachable and you laid everything out simply for the ones that may be inexperienced with meats like this. I'll definitely be checking out your other videos. 👍

Thank you so much for this recipe! I had never cooked swordfish before, and frankly didn't like it the only time I'd ever had it before. Someone gave me fresh caught swordfish and I was nervous about preparing it. I followed your directions exactly and the fish was perfect and delicious!!! Thanks again!

A friend gave me some frozen swordfish that is the same brand as yours. I went looking for recipes and found this one first so I tried it. I'll start with the outcome first: "In spite" of all the glitches it turned out really good! Now, here is what I learned (the hard way! ) Electric stoves are NOT the same as gas! Caste iron is NOT the same as your copper cookware! I used 2 T for the pan as I know it sticks otherwise...then I put it up to high as you did and then down to medium while I searched again for your recipe from the other day! While searching my house filled with smoke and the smell of overcooked olive oil! Oh My! Then I couldn't locate my kitchen timer as I used it in the living room where I have a project going...so I got a new caste iron pan and put it on medium for a short time and then down to 'LOW.' The olive oil was STILL smoking a bit but not as bad as before...I put a lid on it on low. I cooked it for about 7 minutes but it wasn't nice and browned like yours was...I also was trying to make the sauce at the same time...but couldn't locate my fresh grated ginger in a small bag in my fridge at that moment (Of course right after finishing the fish I found it!) so I put powdered ginger on it. I was worried about it sticking to the pan so just poured the sauce over the top and cooked it another 4 minutes and it FINALLY was sort of browned, but not evenly. I think with an electric stove and caste iron pan there is an art to not making the pan TOO HOT but also not TOO COOL! Putting a lid on it and turning it UP to halfway between low and medium worked..I flipped it over about three times to check it as I didn't want it to burn nor be overcooked...I also did the sides too. My living room still smells really smokey even with the fan on...So...I learned that Cast iron and electric stove are a VERY different fish cooking experiment. Happily, although I think it was perhaps a small bit overcooked it actually tasted great! Thanks for the recipe! If anyone has made it with cast iron on an electric please advise!
