It takes something more intense for me. I got up to ten miles running and still found it boring, but something intense like boxing, skateboarding on ramps, or an intense group workout like hot yoga does it for me reliably. I become happier and extroverted. Like, I walk into the gym an introvert and after class I'm an extrovert. It's become something I make sure I do regularly to stay mentally fit and happy.
