However, Costco’s free food samples are probably the best reason to visit the maze-like warehouse store. From delicious snacks and gourmet appetizers, there’s no end to the variety of food samples that are offered to the shoppers at Costco.

When I was a teen, my old roomie had a Costco membership. We would often go to Costco just for the samples because we were so broke. 😹

Fuck yes! I worked as a demonstrator at Costco for many years, and it's just not worth it. The pay was shitty, and it felt like the Costco employees looked down on you. Our job was to give out samples and talk to customers about the product. Though most of the time it was hard to do that since they would just grab the sample and run, not giving a shit about what you had to say. They were just there for the food, and WE would get in trouble if we didn't sell much. We were basically treated like dirt. We were expected to constantly be talking, we weren't allowed to have drinks with us, like a bottle of water, and we'd get in shit if we left our station to go get a drink. If a customer came up to me asking where a certain thing was, and I didn't know, they would get mad at me! I'd get people bitching at me saying I should know where things are because I work there.

I could go on and on about how terrible it was. I'm just glad I left.

Stop using that "Fresh Off The Boat" clip over and over again for Costco videos. Please.

A few insider tips
• It's free and we don't trip if you get more than one tbh
•We don't work for Costco, so don't get upset if we can't assist you with finding your groceries.
• We do the very best to give you guys the best service tbh, all CDS employees are different, so talk a bit to them, they'd highly appreciate it.

Last one: A 'thank you' is highly appreciated and goes a longggg way 😀😀

Jesus Christ Reddit is not a source, do the people who run this channel know that any person can go online and claim anything?

I worked for cds and it’s a fact that some people will stand in front of the tray and eat as if it was a buffet. As a worker it’s annoying since people in line will start complaining and we have to work faster under more stress. You will not believe the kind of people I encountered while working there!

Club Demo Services is actually owned by Costco as of 2-3 years ago, their parent company was bought by Costco...but Costco decided to keep CDS as a separate company on paper...btw at the Costco where I was employed, we weren't allowed to be hired by Costco itself.

Inaccuracy: CDS workers, like me for ten years, get raises commensurate with Costco's worker's raises. I once got a $2/hour raise while there. Further, while things do move, the CDS samplers have a pretty accurate knowledge of where things are found, and since Costco people on the floor are often hard to find, and we stand still, we are an excellent source for pointing shoppers in the right direction. And we take joy in doing so. While there are no restrictions to the customers on how many samples they can eat, it isn't smart. If a sampled product is so popular that it costs more to demo it than Costco makes thru the demo, the demo could be canceled early, and possibly never offered again. BTW, the food is not bought by Costco, but by the vendor advertising its wares. Therefore it makes no sense to wave around your importance and tell me you should have all the samples because of how much money you spend at Costco. Your money never intersects CDS money.
