My husband and I charge as much as we possibly can on our Costco credit card and pay it off at the end of the month. The result is generally around a $1, 000 rebate check at the end of the year. Now I call that, free money!

10:25 here's a tip on the rebate check, always cash it even if you're going to spend it at Costco. The reason for this is that if you use the rebate check at the register then it does not apply as spending towards your next rebate check, But if you've cashed it first then it just counts as you're spending cash again, if you're a bit check is 20 bucks not worth dealing with but if your rebate check is $300 or $400 It's worth the extra couple minutes to cash the check first.

As a former trucker, I always loved delivering to Costco. They have such an amazing system; it was always a pleasure. They must have geniuses working there because everything is done so well.

Not a Costco shopper but I noticed practically everyone else was, so I bought Costco shares. This was a while back but have never regretted it and still own those Costco shares!

Enjoyed your video-great tips. I have a tip of my own. Before going through the check-out and if you are able-place each item in the cart with the barcode facing up. This way, the cashier can scan everything super fast. I’ve been doing this for a year now and they always thank me for doing this. Enjoy shopping!

Tuesday is clearance day at Costco, so I always go then. I've gotten some incredible deals 😉

The optical department is awesome! About 3 months ago I got my glasses and sunglasses there and after my insurance and their sale I walked out spending $29. My prescription is bifocal as well. No up charges for blue blocking or polarized sunglasses. The only thing I wasn’t thrilled with was the eyeglass cases they came in. Of course I’ve got like 15 old ones at home so I swapped them out. Very satisfied!

I keep my Walmart and Safeway apps open when I'm at Costco, so I can compare unit prices while I'm shopping. I work full time and have a large family, so I don't always have time to keep a price book up to date. But, it has saved me money more than once.

Best unknown tip : their audiology department is top notch! My sister's hearing test there was more detailed than her friend who went to an Ear, Nose, & Throat specialist. Their hearing aids are about half price & you don't need a membership to use their audiology service. Also you can return basically everything for your money back!

Tip, we needed boxes for our Turkey Drive for Vets so ask Costco for boxes. They said we could go back to the Fruit and Veg department and move the products to consolidate boxes and take the empties. They are sturdy, have handles on each end and we got the 25 we needed and used their big cart to transport them. We always use Costco Travel for Rental Cars, best value. This has given me new ideas though.

As a 34 year employee of Costco, when you go to your local Costco looking for a certain item, if we don't have it, you can go to the Supervisor's desk, just across from the registers, and ask them to check ANY other Costco in the world for that item.

Another tip: Look for a business Costco close by your area. You may have to drive a bit, but it's worth it. We have one fairly close and it was really handy when the kids were young. For example, at most Costcos you find the typical single-serve chip packs. However, the business center has a larger selection and sometimes even more per box than your local store. Think of things that get used in vending machines, like granola bars (but again, a much larger selection than the typical Costcos). Also, if you are hosting a big holiday dinner, you can find huge meat deals. We're talking slabs of meat that are equivalent to what restaurants use. Huge boxes of restaurant-style fries. The back of the business Costco closest to me, is all refrigerated. And it is enormous! (Side note: bring a coat, even if it's summer) The selection of produce, dairy, and meats in that area is shocking.

I realize those stores are harder to find, but if you are within driving distance, it's well worth it. Bulk cleaners or massive-size cleaners, work towels, restaurant-size trays, condiment containers, etc... CAVEAT: There is no deli. No rotisserie chicken or pre-packaged chicken salads, ribs, pot pies, etc...

I was originally a Price Club member then Costco bought Mr. Price’s stores… and I’ve been a member ever since. I buy my homes based on how close a Costco is to it. Seriously an addiction. 🎉

I am the go to in my family and extended family. They give me cash and I get the 3% back from the card and 2% from the executive membership. Last year combined was $1150 back. My family just picks up the stuff from me on the weekends. It's a great deal!

Please encourage people to be honest and pay for memberships if you really like Costco

Yep I'm a Costco for some clothing items like panties & socks. I don't have a big family, but we definitely stock up on things like coffee, vitamins, can items, cooking oils, diapers, wipes, detergent, tp, etc

Almost always rent my cars through Costco travel website, sometimes saving literally hundreds of dollars. Occasionally hotels too.
