I did some research about 4 years ago. I ended up getting the Costco Anywhere Visa. It's been the best for the last four plus years now. I use it on all my purchases. This last time I got around $500 back. Made for a fun trip to Costco last time.

If you spend $6000 a year there at 2% cash back is $120 that would pay the executive membership. That is if the rates don’t increase or the cash back program doesn’t get phased out. That’s $500 a month needed to spend there except your first year (10 mths to get first cash back). For the first 10 months of joining you would need to spend $600 a month to completely cover the next years membership. Doesn’t seem like there’s really any incentive unless the prices are better than stores that don’t require membership. I’m not one to buy in bulk either just to get a deal. I don’t like getting stuck with large amounts of things I will never use or get burned out on and end up throwing away. I also don’t really see any big price difference if any than in other stores if you’re not buying in bulk.

I've been a Costco member for 10 years now, and. after getting the Anywhere Visa a couple of months ago, also decided to upgrade to the Executive membership - 4% back on already lower cost gas, effectively 4% back in store and online (2% exec, 2% Visa)...it's a crazy good deal, and I also use the card for 3% back on dining - I'll easily make back my $120 and then some by using the card, as I don't really buy a ton of stuff at a time at Costco - but I do go there a fair bit.

Family of four here. My cashback back check has never been enough to cover my $120 membership fee. I still think its worth it.

I've been working in the membership department at Costco for some time and it's really sad when I see people just with the standard membership spending thousands of dollars and outright refusing to upgrade, like, theyre paying literally hundreds more with the standard membership than the executive!!

Wow, lovely clip here. I have a lot of unanswered questions as a newcomer in Canada. 1.Can a family be under a Business Executive membership. or can they have different? 2. What is the maximum one could spend i a month and still meetup with the good credit score?. 3, How is the $120 or $60 paid when registering newly? 4. What are the requirement to be eligible for these cards? 5. What are the different between Costco membership cards and Costco Master cards? 6. Are they attached to bank account?

Executive Membership, seven minutes door to door, easy annual purchasing amounts for the cash back credit to cover the membership cost. Life is so much simpler just doing 80% of our shopping there.

Before I got my Executive Membership, they would always tell me how much I would save and how it would pay for my membership. With two of us shopping, my first check was about $45 and this year my check is $16. This February, I opened the credit card and I'm already at $76. Mainly gas and a few hotel nights. I will downgrade my membership in October. I received car rental discounts with the regular membership.

Thanks for the info! I just got the executive membership thinking I just got upsold by the employee. Almost downgraded, but now, I will keep it considering I’ll be there weekly, the 2% makes sense for me.

This is complex and confusing. The membership sales representative told me if I got the $120 membership, I’d receive a $30 email coupon, which was an outright lie.

Hi there I do have a question for you. I'm thinking about getting car insurance through connect. So do I have to have the executive membership card to get the discount or can I have the gold card and still get the discount? I'm looking forward to your answer. I'll look every day to see what you have to say thank you. Also I am a new subscriber to you

How about making phone calls from Costco by computer for nonmembers and members?
Or something like this ?
This is Costco warehouses for nonmembers have one day, free, shopping, cash or visa
For members we have specials like ?

Tried the Executive membership several times since being a member. My checks never covered the additional cost. This recent time, I received a check for $10.03 for the 3 months use. So it's like $40 over a year. Downgraded back to the regular membership in advance before my October expiration date. Because of the early downgrade they say the system won't allow them to reimburse me the difference between the 2 memberships. Never again after this.

The executive membership renewal fee increased $10 ($130). However, with the $120 rewards check I got recently the renewal price comes to around $10. Still not a bad deal.
