This is a great metaphor for real life. If you get rid of the recycle bins, people will start littering everywhere, and it eventually becomes so littered that a ton of recycle bins need to be installed to accommodate it, leaving you with way more recycle bins than you would've had if you just kept them in the first place.

It didn't help that Windows actually became sentient when FlyTech attempted to delete stuff.
