It's a completely not true that Bulgarians, Serbs and Croatians can't understand each other...i'm a Bulgarian, and I'm telling you that especially Bullgarian and Serbian are very close languages. Also Slovoenian, Bosnian are enough understandable
Macedonia is Bulgarian many many years before Yugoslavia, but its a very hard think to explain to non-balkans people....

Balkan is Slavic and Greece, autenticly. Relligions Are the most of the reason they Are separeted. Serbs Are the roots of Slavic nations. Others like Bulgaria and Macedonia was "oblast", regions. First Bulgarian Kings pretty much Are the unrecognised Serbs. Emperror Justinian the Great was Serb. We all know it .
