Fun fact about Montenegro: In 1905 when Russia declared war on Japan, Montenegro bravely supported their traditional allies and sent a battalion to fight alongside Russian forces against Japan. When Russia and Japan declared peace treaty Montenegro was somehow left out, meaning that Montenegro was technically in war with Japan until 2006. when Japan formally recognized Montenegro as independent country.
