That few seconds of considerate driving and patience from that Land Rover driver has probably saved minutes of frustration for your viewer if they were made to stop and start sliding around. Your viewer gained by getting up the hill smoothly and the Land Rover driver gained positive karma 👍👏

I've been tail-gated and overtaken in these sorts of conditions. Don't forget the idiots are still idiots in all weather.

Very good sort of advice, wouldn't have thought of these nuances as a new driver.

As a new driver, i haven't thought of this. Please do a video of these sort of things, it would be great!

Big shout out to the random van driver who saw I was struggling on my bike and kept traffic from tailgating me on my motorcycle

(Road went from gritted to ungrited and I lost the back end but stayed upright)

I doubt you will see this it was in 2021 but you are a legend

@ashley neal, great explanation video about adverse weather considerate driving. Amazes me how some drivers don't show courtesy on rural roads some odd driving habits to be found on them. Keep doing this educational videos.

Isn't it possible that the drive of the land rover simply came to the conclusion that if he started going downhill as the other car ascended, he could slide into his path? Hence why he completely pulls over as so not to begin sliding at the crest of the hill?

We in Buffalo, NY buy snow tires or all weather tires. Slow down well ahead of a stop.

Wow! You wouldn’t get that courtesy here where I live in Michigan USA! Very nice to see. Where is this if I may ask?

I'm not too bad in these kind of conditions and when I was out with my friends and 1 was really struggling with his car I was wishing I could drive it but injury meant I was sat in the passenger seat talking him through it

Also, the land rover has to drive DOWN the hill and knows he runs the risk of sliding off course..best to let the oncoming car clear out of the way.

Live in the lakes, reminds me of one day a long but shallow hill 2-3° sitting in first full revs redlining, wheel spinning all the way some 300+ yards sliding left n 4 cars behind them all lined up, nice spacing, nice n slow, low revs, same 4 mph 😂

Hi Ashley, How about driving on fresh snow not in the tracks which are slippery?

It's interesting how many 4WD drivers seem to be under the impression having power to all four wheels means they're incapable of losing traction under braking.

As previously posted many many Vids my Old Man did a Hill Climb in the Snow as a LEARNER DRIVER and it worked out
Whilst others where spinning the wheel and grinding the
He kept it in 3rd and embarrassed the lot of them in a Rear Wheel drive that didn't even have Winter tyres let alone a Snowchain.... proper Old Skool 😅
No driving aids whatsoever.
The "art" of driving properly is rapidly and that is from a guy who owns a Rover P5B 😢 lol
