On June 18th 2023, deputy Evans of Okaloosa county sheriffs department pulls up on this man parking in the driveway of his home.
He demands ID from the driver to ensure that the vehicle he is driving is his.
This interaction is a short one but it makes for a great ID refusal.

If he had any doubt about the driver not living there or having a lawful right to be there, all he had to do was watch. Watch him walk to the front door and use his key.

I think the cop knew that this would be a problem if he pushed it and that's why he backed off.

Certainly, one of the better thoughts he had that night.

It’s good to see non auditors having these interactions they may misstep here and there but these small challenges show even if they haven’t fully confided to learning all, they are paying attention. Small change is change. So what if they misspoke or even spoke too much. Not everyone is a professional auditor but it shows We The People are listening and trying.
