My dad's friend was a police chief and he used to laugh about people filing complaints against "his boys". In the 13 years he was there only one complaint (out of over 70) was acted on and that was because there were 7 witnesses and two of them were attorneys.

Really good on Mark to know his rights and stand up for them. Being confronted by state power (especially in the form of someone armed with deadly weapons) can always be scary. More people need to stand up like Mark did! And always record the police.

How about the fact that the entire incident is over a civil matter, no one even had to talk to the cop! Let alone identify themselves!
Good forbid a person has the intelligence to use their Right to Remain Silent!
Cop wanted to talk to guy, guy wants to put groceries inside so cop threatens to follow guy inside? No! That’s only allowed to ‘continue pursuit of a fleeing SUSPECT’. The guy was not a Suspect of a crime, so the cop didn’t have exigent circumstance to follow him in, nor the ability to even force the man to speak to him.
Cop is drunk on ‘badge power’, with a complete misunderstanding of his police powers.
