I remember as a minor, 14 years old, my sister who was 16 at the time got pulled over, brought to the Niles, IL police station, detained, searched, questioned for hours...all with out any charge or traffic violation. I am hoping they try that sh..t again.

Imagine, as difficult as it is to find a place to live, and having to abandon one, because cops have made it impossible to live there…

Actually they are violating his rights by searching his property. You just can't walk around someone's house, this is a violation of their 4th amendment rights. Walking in a place that any reasonable lay person would, wouldn't violate this. But when you go beyond that and start searching around the property even though it is in plan view is a no no and therefore a violation of your rights. The police just don't have carte blanche to walk around your property without a warrant.

Plain view doctrine also requires that the cop be somewhere that he is "lawfully" allowed to be, so if you ask them to leave, and they don't have a search warrant, they do not have the right to search the outside of your home anymore than they do the inside.
