Thank you thank you. I am a software dev but even for me OBS is a bit confusiong.
What are "scenes" and why do I need them? Wher to set the output resolution. Why do I need a transform?
My use case is rather simple: capture screen and output 1:1 as video.
Is there a way to delay the actual start of recording by say 5 seconds? I want to record the content of a VM but OBS is running on the host.

I wonder one thing I need help with and that is every time I release a video game on the surface I get poor resolution do you know why? it has happened for a long time and I record with obs.

Just getting into this whole scene Im trying to make a channel with my kids playing roblox from our pc and was looking for the best and easiest software to record footage so I downloaded this. When I first opened it I was like what the hell! But your video really made understand the basics great job I will checking out the rest of your content. I want to know though for just basic recording of what your playing on your pc browser is obs the easiest to use or there easier and better
