I keep seeing the a1 bamboo labs printer and I'm contemplating getting it. I went to google to see how big the build plate needed to be and then how to size the models to fit my big dome of a head lol. Super helpful!

Is 3D builder only available on Windows 10? It's no longer availabe in the Microsoft store, but I'm on Windows 11.

Been using this method only i use orca/bambu slicer and go to “objects” then unclick the helmet to make it transparent. In the slicer, you can scale the helmet and head to half (say if 90% is that you think is what you need then make it 45% and half of whatever the head is), turn off supports and slice. Then you can get a better view of how the head fits by scrolling the layers. The visibility of 3d builder with the blue xray might be better though and also looks cooler

My dude, this is great info. Just one thing:
That’s a charging cable, not a phone chord. 😅😂
(Phone chords are used for land lines).

As of 8-2-24 3d Builder is not available for download. For me at least. Is there an alternative you could suggest?

I literally tried scanning my head with my phone to try and do this, because my Halo CQB Helmet turned out maybe just quite a bit too large (Isn't that much of an issue, since it will be apdded anyway) but this is gonna help a lot in the future. Thank you so much!

Edit: Just tried looking for 3d builder, but it's apprently been discontinued?
