This is basically an example of someone just importing EU4 scenes into EU5 without taking advantage of any of the benefits afforded by lumen and nanite.

The UE5 looks off to me. I'm playing around with it myself and there's a distinct lack of shadowing in some cases where it would absolutely give some. I don't think the scenes were set up correctly or there's some setting not set properly

It's not about the quality - it's about the fact that lumen is producing this in real time without baking.

Doesn't show drastic difference. Maybe you left some parameters for lumen unchecked? Appreciate the work nice edit.

Did you use the same exact settings because a lot of these scenes look drastically different and still achievable in UE4

UE5 looked kinda unsharp and blurry in this comparison

I can’t tell drastic difference actually but nice work.

For the people that's complaining about the comparison...I'm an unreal 5 user myself and there's no big difference between Lumen and non lumen scenes, except if you have self illuminated dynamic objects.

I feel like instead of just importing the scenes into ue5 to compare you should take advantage of it's features and implement that into the comparison because it doesn't really showcase the main point of lumen.

00:37 yay, we can finally see jagged edges of light on the wall. wtf

Just based off these examples I wouldn't be surprised if the guy who made the video forgot to even enable Lumen when porting over to ue5

0:34 look at the lighting on the wall, it actually looks worse on UE5

always hated these how about show the SAME imagin in both sides? As it is its hard to notice a resonible change / impreovement if any at times ...

Good exemple that, mostly, UE 5 is NOT about making games that look better than UE4. Specially not better than UE4+RT.
It's about looking about the same, but with less efforts ( because more unified lighting ) and compatible with more hardware ( because no need for RT hardware).

разница обывателю еле заметна, если только свето-коррекция изменилась.

In almost all cases U4 looks better then U5.

Idk. UE4 has a sense of more realism going off these comparisons in a lot of shots

The darks are way too dark in UE5. Especially in that crashed spaceship or whatever scene with the snow blowing in. I guarantee you those walls wouldn’t be black. There’d be some light showing them.

The luminance from ambient is overblown in UE5 compared to prebaked lightmaps in UE4. This leads to saturation wash out. That said there seems to be greater dynamic range which is a good thing. But some of those real time light rays are just cringe on resolution. Check timestamp 0:36 of the bedside light illumination on the wall. There's horrible stepping with UE5.

Замечательно, всё притянули к реализму.. Реальность скучна, 4 намного лучше
