This video in my estimation Jonathan was one of your best explaining the working of the hands and arms in the golf swing! Because of one of your previous videos in which you advocated pushing the butt end of the handle down with the left hand, I began doing this. What a difference it made in my shot making. Now, after viewing this video, you have given me further support on what I am trying to accomplish with my arms, right elbow, wrists and swing plane in my takeaway. All of this will then come together again in the downswing with a proper body rotation. Great Job Jonathan! I am archiving this video for future viewing!

Your videos have been my go-to for help for the last 6 months, even your older ones. This one has been tremendously helpful. So many others have talked against “lifting” the club, which have led me down a path to my inside takeaway and inconsistent play for the last season. This explanation of the takeaway is perfect. You don’t shy away from the word “lifting” but address proper vs. Improper lifting so well. Thank you for your videos. This will definitely be one I consistently come back to thru the off season.

The good news is that JT is one of very few that knows and demonstrates how the arms should work at the start of the swing, there is an old english pro thats banged on about it for 40+yrs and a US pro that" discovered "it 25 yrs ago and called it the arm swing illusion. The bad news is that it is very hard to do and get it! im 4hcp and cant and prob take it inside, maybe if i learnt as a kid, good luck!
