Why oh why is there no decent looking wall switch option for LED lights? They go from garbage in-line or tacky lab look dimmer switches straight to fancy schmancy wireless remote 4 color remotes, but all I want is a standard in-wall, residential style rotary or sliding dimmer switch with full on/off capability! What is wrong with the LED strip light industry? Can I be the only one that wants this?

What if I do not have an outlet to plug into but instead have an electrical box where an old light used to be (controlled by a wall switch). Can I simply cut off the three prong plug and hard wire directly the the white, black and ground wires and continue to use the wall switch to turn the lights on and off?
