Thanks so much!! I've been scratching my head over how we've run our wires for 2 way switched lights and worrying we'd done it wrong, this showed me we've done it right and can go ahead and add the switches 😌

Question. If I have 8 12v lights in a small cabin, one in a small kitchen, 4 on the main level, 3 upstairs and 1 in a tiny bathroom…how do I do the switches if I want each area to be able to have a switch. Also upstairs 3 I’d like them in a 3 way switch so I can turn off when I get upstairs or down. Do you have a video on this?

I have been searching fo a 12 volt 3-way switches to no avail. This example is what I've been looking for. In my case it"s for an outside Rigid diffused LED spot light . I want separate on - off switch locations. The light draws more power so, I believe I will run a relay before the switches, so the load burden isn't all going to the on - off switch. more research and double checking before I make this connection.

I would like to install a two-way switch on an inverter in my teardrop camper, one in the outside kitchen and the other in the cabin. I would like to add a LED indicator light to tell me if the inverter is on or off, how would that be done?

Can I use dimmer switches in place of the arm oxwitches that you show

Great informative video... my question is, will this work for dimmer switches aswell? If so, do I need a special type of dimmer switch? Most dimmer switches come with 4 wires.

Great video! I'm wanting to use dimmer switches, can you use them in a two way switch configuration? The switch I'm looking at has 4 wires on the back. Do I run the negative off switch #1 up to the lights and then the negative from the lights back to the bus bar??
Thank you, any help would be appreciated.

I like this video, but have a question. Where does that last wire go that is connected to the center post of switch #2?

Excellent video. However you state the reason that the LEDs will not work in series is due to polarity sensitivity. However even in series the LEDs are connected the correct way round polarity wise. The real reason that they wont work in series is due to voltage. 2 LEDs connected in series to a 12V battery would only have a potential difference across them of 6V. If you connected 2 LEDs in series to a 24V battery they would work.

Fantastic video. Will wiring two switches the way you did in the example work if the 12v switches are on off on type?
