Why the new DCU will FAIL‼️

If WB wasn’t so keen on derailing the projects, DCEU would have a chance, the management/executives cannot help themselves.

Maybe eventually but I'm sure when it starts people will be interested enough to see characters like Robin, and Swamp Thing get a proper cinematic introduction.

I think the dcu will be fine. The dcu is a group of connected projects where the project themselves are standalone but connect to one another. Chances are you don't have to watch any other dc project to get paradise lost or swamp thing. Now i would say some projects probably require more hw than others like the teen titans maybe

They can have the DCU and other standalone projects…we have the Batverse as well as the Joker franchise too…that’s 3 billion dollar plus franchises, 3 money makers…all works…not everything needs to connect anyway

Audiences are not dumb they will most certainly understand what is going on. All they need to do is focus on making good movies, and they will be fine.

I feel like with us not even having a single piece of media out yet, it's too early to say what kind of universe we can expect. We could get the MCU universe where you have a lot of homework to do, but we also could get what Gunn originally intended to GOTG to be, which was a standalone trilogy not connected to the larger picture of the MCU. And judging by how he's described the first few movies coming out, they'll likely be set in lived in worlds, not complete blank slate origin stories.

Yes it could all still fail in the ways you've pointed out, but just because it all exists on the same setting doesn't necessarily mean we'll have to watch everything to stay connected.

I sorry to me this seem like cherry picking, saying that the mcu is the only successful is quite questionable to me, considering the monsterverse is doing very well boxoffice and audience wise, you know the universe the are by warner bros. Dc have the ips to do justice for the universe(no pun). James gunn have been succesful for pretty much his projects.

James Gunn literally said Peacemaker season 2 will address the changes.

More importantly what is this audiences will be confused nonsense, what happened is as comic books as it gets, if audiences aren't going to get it, they really shouldn't bitch about comic accuracy

Crisis on Infinite Earths Animated Movie - Destroyed the DCAU and Teen TItans universes, combined all the multiverse into a singular DCU
My logic - if the DCU fails, we will get those universes back because DC will have a mental breakdown over their horrible mistake

Batman is more intrsting to ahdience than superman so i think they should swap the release of superman an brave and the bold so they can say "hey, remember that batman movie you watched? Yeah, well we have a superman movie thats gonna be just as good coming up in the same new universe. Go watch!"

This new DC universe will be much better then the Snyder verse. Glaze the Snyder verse all you want but it was never a good cinematic universe.

James Gunn's Superman will be a huge success. Even Batman Brave and the Bold and Super Girl Women of Tomorrow will be successful.

Also the fact their skipping passed everything to modern Dc. I think what made the MCU so special is that we saw their characters built from the ground up and change as it went on. But in Dc their just gonna start in something that’s already established and just skim over possible character development and unique stories.
