This is so cool. I have Crohn's and during flare ups I need really loose fitting clothes as pressure on my abdomen is really painful. I want to make these ASAP

These are the pants I have been looking for! Wide-legged! Hardware! Huge pockets! Adjustable! I can't wait to make them. So glad I found your channel.

Also:
1. I love your headband
2. I love your wrist pincushion
3. I love the fabric you chose for your pants and am so impressed by how you matched the pattern.

You are adorable! Can't wait to see what you make next.

I'm so relieved that the pattern itself has a large size range. 90% of patterns I've ever come across don't go up to my size but this one does! :D

I love that you're discovering the wonders of twill tape! we use it SO MUCH in theatre costuming, there are so many weird applications for it. it is great in a pinch! i've seen people use it for boning channels on their corsetry (usually when the corset or bodice isn't made of anything dainty). I've most often used it for labeling things though - not something that always needs doing in "real life" but its an absolute MUST in costumes!

The elastic panel and belt tabs remind me of the Richard Simmons (exercise guru) dress pants of the late 80s/early 90s. Pleat front slacks were in style, but allowed tummy bloat to be very visible unless you wore support undies. These pants had a stretch panel from side seam to zipper each side, so you got a snug fit on bum and smooth pleats on front. They also had button tabs on the side, so you could add up to 4 inches to waist band without changing the look. I really wish a lot more bottoms had those stretch panels.
Nicely done!

Kia ora from Whakatiki / Upper Hutt (NZ). Carly, I love your whole vibe! This video just appeared on my front page and I’ve never hit Subscribe so fast! I see great things for your channel; looking forward to jumping on the bandwagon 😁.

Also, it made my little Kiwi heart sing to hear you talk about op shopping. I literally just got back from a walk to the op shops with my baby daughter, and we always check out the fabrics - I love how the best op shops put their fabric section next to their It’s like they *know* hehe 😅.

These pants are awesome. I am impressed. So easy to make. I highly recommend them to anyone who can sew. A great way to learn a different style. Absolutely fantastic pants.😊😊😊😊

Absolutely adore your pants! Also, I just checked out the patterns - did you see how size inclusive her patterns are! Yay! I can actually make these as they come in my size (I often 'miss out' cos the size range isn't inclusive enough) AND my neighbours gave me some old grey curtains that'd be awesome for these pants!

You can take 5” off of denim jeans by adding elastic inside the waist band on the back half and gets rid of back gaps. Sometimes you have to sew the front pocket shut to stop the pockets from pulling out. Open the waistband on the inside from each hip and slide the elastic in with a safety pin, and then secure it flat inside of the waistband on each hip from top to bottom. Then, sew your opening shut from the inside.

okay fine, I'll get a pair of magic pants! I also struggle quite a bit with pants cause I've been given a shaking kind of behind, so I've loved watching this one come together! and your videos are always such a treat to watch <3

Pants look great especially during cartwheels! It looks like a carnival. Imagine if you had two or more wearing the same pants doing cartwheels!
