Hi DIY divas!
I'm very excited about today's DIY Summer sewing tutorial as it's the first time I succeeded to sew pants without the weird lines around my crouch. Managing to sew pants have been my biggest challenge so far and even though I dreamed of sewing many pants in the colors of the rainbow there was always one obstacle until I found a trick that worked for me.

Instead of sewing 4 pieces which is how you usually sew pants I cut it in two large pieces and sew them that way. And it worked! So today I'm happy to present my DIY Palazzo pants tutorial. Palazzo pants are one of the hottest fashion trends at this moment and the flowiness of the fabric makes it perfect for the Summer. On the beach, in the city or at a party with a cropped top, I know I will be wearing mine lots and sew many more!

What you'll need:
- 1 yard of stretch fabric (I used lycra fabric)
- pair of wide legged pants for the 'pattern'
- thread
- pins
- fabric scissors
- wide elastic band
- sewing machine

This is a great video!. I work as a manger in the trucking industry. I'm pretty small and have had so much trouble finding work pants that are durable, business casual and flared at the bottom so they will go over my steel toe boots. I modified your idea in this video to make pants with a slimmer leg but still boot cut. I'm a novice with a sewing machine so it was essential that the pants were simple and easy to make. They turned out wonderful and now I make all my own work pants with whatever fabric I want. Great job! The instructions are clear and easy to follow

Joyce, I can't thank you enough for helping me break out of my sewing disappointments! I am very new and have a wonderful machine and have poorly made things with a pattern because its hard to understand how to lay patterns out. Just watching you get these pants done and beautifully inspired me to try your awesome easy technique of no pattern! I literally made 3 pairs of Pants for my family and myself in one day!!! That's with the time I took selecting my fabric at Joann's! I actually had zero anxiety about what fabric I needed! I am making clothes for when we move to Guam. It is so hot there and I really wanted to make beautiful island boutique looking outfits and the Palazzo pants came out fabulous and chic!! I'm struggling a little on the waistband with the elastic.
