My parents were big ironers and as a child, I was taught to iron men's shirts using starch in the wash. Plus, my school uniform. I don't like it, but I do it and keep it a secret as people expect you to iron for them as a show of love or friendship. I also iron as I sew, and it is a necessary chore.
