I did leave the UK for 15 years. I have been back for 6 years, and have become very unwell, and even had some kind of mental breakdown. I had lived on the Mediterranean coast, but the death of my French girlfriend made me decide to return here. How I miss the healthy and pleasant life I had. I look around me, and see a really broken country. Nothing works, immigration is destroying my homeland. Yes, I was an immigrant in France, but not a drain, or a law breaker. Just saying !

I'm a son of an immigrant, I was born in the UK, I love this country, I love my home and my country - the UK. I worked hard and saved and became successful. However, things have changed, The demographics and quality of people in the UK have changed. The behaviour and demeanour of people has changed. Common manners and courtesy has gone. Maybe I'm getting old, but I don't feel the UK is a better place than it was 5, 10, 15, 20, or 30 years ago. The current trajectory of things is not good, also don't blame the Tories, it's not that simple. I will definitely be taking my money to another country for a better quality of life. My wife and I draught an apartment in Kaş, Turkey in 2016 to have as a holiday home, when brexit came we saw the writing on the wall so sold up and moved here full time . We haven't looked back once, Britain is doomed get out if you can

It isn't really poverty that is causing the higher crime rate. Poverty was much higher in Britain 100 years ago yet the crime rate was massively lower. The real cause is likely uncontrolled mass immigration and the subsequent erosion in social cohesion.

We live here in the United States. My husband is from England. He has talked about how safe that country is, in terms of very little gun violence, but readily admits that knife attacks are common and punishment is lacking. I would not feel safe living there.

We had the sense to sell up everything in the 'YUK' 20 years ago and emigrate to Cyprus for good. And we have a great life as UK tax exiles. Our Council tax is only €170 a YEAR, and we get our bin emptied twice a week ! On my last visit to the 'YUK' back in 2018 I didn't really know WTF I was ? Because it was nothing like the country I was born in for sure ! So I won't bother to go back again.
