For anyone having issues with ALPS style joysticks drifting, the failure is almost always the wiper or strikeplate.

Wiper replacement requires no special tools. Strikeplate requires soldering.

"...adjust the potentiometers of the joystick" is a misnomer.

Just change sensor and that’s it no secret sauce 20 bucks gets you like 40 of them and a tool kit to repair on Amazon. Repaired mine after getting drift two months into having my ps5. Don’t let these guys charge you for something you can easily do yourself.
