You can also throw the controller to the wall to destroy it. Because once it's destroyed, there is no more stick drift. Or you could order new sticks, open the controller and replace the old one.

These potentiometer is guaranteed to have stick drifts in its lifespan, maybe like in 1-2 years that’s sad part, but this one is just broken after couple of months which is just no good means it is cheaply made (the reason why it only lasts 1-2 years is there’s this little metal thing that is attached below joystick that you’re controlling it, for the controller to function the metal is required to touch the little carbon on the potentiometer but because it is a metal rubbing against a carbon, the carbon will basically wears off or rubbed off the potentiometer module because due to friction which definitely going to cause issues).

There’s a fix to this by using hall effect sensor these analog don’t touch any part of the carbon so it wouldn’t rub apart the stuff used for the joysticks, don’t ask me why they don’t use these *cough *cough “buy new controller = $” moment and only used in older consoles like dreamcast.

I had horrible stick drift and opened my controller up and cleaned the stick sensor. Controller works perfectly now.

okay so it's working that way because your pushing the connection of where the sensor picks up movement from the wiper, that means you'll just have to clean the wiper some with a q-tip and alcohol. you're almost there bro

Pro tip! You can also dip it into gasoline and torch it up, this will stop the drifting issue and prevents it from happening again 💯
