On day 8 of sobriety. Turning 50 next month. 30 years of drinking beer. Just one turns into 4 or 5 all too frequently. Time to put away those childish things. Thank you for sharing your encouraging words.

After drinking for about 30 years I quit on my 49th Birthday. It was slowly ruining my health. I feel better now than when I was in my teens. My only regret is that I didn't stop years ago. Thanks for sharing. If you're thinking about stopping, GO FOR IT!!

As a young man of 24 years old, and everyone my age drinking like no tomorrow and discovering alchohol since the age of 12. I decided to quit, and have been alchohol and drug free for 3 weeks now. Around the same time I got rid of social media and started to exercise everyday. I have never felt better than ever before. Some family and friends have been supportive, and some haven't which is okay. I know who are my true supporters. Thanks for the video. Much love, man! Hopefully I will be sober for the rest of my life.

I love to watch your videos. This is the absolute best one yet for me. I'm 62 years old. My daughters watched me drink for years while they were growing up. My oldest became a severe alcoholic, living in a way that totally broke my heart in two. My sister called me one evening and asked about my daughter after talking to her. She was in bad shape. She had been brought down lower than I would have ever have imagined. We went to her apartment and called the ambulance to take her to the hospital. She had tried to quit cold turkey, and almost died. She was in a coma for a few days, almost losing her arm due to an IV that her ICU nurse had not observed during the night as it leaked into her skin and burned her badly. God answered prayers for her and our family. Sorry about the rambling, but I just want people to know that we can turn from our addiction, whatever it may be. She has been well over a year without alcohol! Thanks so much for this video. You are a great example to the rest of us guys out here. I am saving this one.

In 2005 my wife gave me the ultimatum, her or alchohol. I was a functioning alcoholic while on active duty Army. I was a happy drunk who quickly lost all filters, and all inhibitions which led me to make many painful and damaging choices. Through the strength of God and leaning on my strong wife I was able to give it up and reconcile my marriage. Thank you for sharing your journey, you are in my prayers.

Thank you. I'm 2 years sober. Quit cold turkey. Used to drink 2 30 packs/week. Didn't go out. Too expensive. Your quote from Paul really got me. To be drunk is to be out of control. To be out of control is childish. We have put away childish things because we are men. It's OK for most people. But for us it is poison. I like your solution of a red Solo cup.

I've been unintentionally sober for a little over two years. What I've learned is that the further you get from alcohol the less sense it makes.

As the child of alcoholic parents I want to say thank you...for doing this for your kids. You, and they, will never know what a great thing this is you did for them.

Mr W, my name's Lewis I am ten years old and I'm a huge fan of your channel. I lost my father at age 2 and I've been restoring his grand force Brookes camping hatchet. I am blessed to have a small workshop and some hand tools and also a cordless drill. I was wondering if you could mention some tips in your next video or comment back. If you're reading this comment thank you for your time. Also, a very happy 2020 and I think it's great that you stopped drinking.

God bless

A friend’s wife once told me, “There’s nothing funnier then a drunk husband until it’s your husband.”

Alcohol. I grew up in a home with an alcoholic father. The change in him after a few drinks, the physical and mental abuse my mom went through, the struggle she faced to just get grocery money from him, the times utilities went unpaid and power was cut. I could go on and on. But, I still drank as a young adult, though I never had the same abusive or negligent traits of my dad. It has now been 43 years without a drink. But, I am one that now sees alcohol as an avoidable desease with no purpose. Some people claim that they can drink socially without a problem. I don't even want that in my life. Just remember, you are an example to someone. You can choose to be a positive example or a negative one. I see nothing positive about alcohol.
