And the fact that the book coloured was written by these two authors (Tessa and Lynsey) in particular who don't have the straight hair blah blah (South Africans will know what I mean by this), makes me immensely proud! They're somewhat in the "middle" in terms of phenotypes within our community.

LOLOLOL. The other day before the SA v NZ rugby match this female presenter (on the field) started speaking. For a good while I thought she's from New Zeeland - she sounded and looked the part. I later on noticed the logo on her blazer. That's when it clicked that she's South African. She's coloured South African but sounded like a New Zeelander. Like I couldn't place her accent. Both my husband & I couldn't tell that she's from here. Breyton Paluse started speaking soon after. That one we didn't get confused by. There is just no way. Go Breytie 🎉😂

So even as a mixed person living here in KZN, its a different ball game. Now that the majority of people are black, I've faced alot of discrimination from them and very few of them are understanding and dont bring race up at all and i love those ones❤.For example if i walk into a shop majority of the employees will stare at me, some will gossip rude stuff in zulu, but i tend to ingnore it alot.
I am a tall dude so i can understand why most people feel intimidated

But on the other side majority of my friends were indian and they accepted me as if i was one of them, very little discrimination from white people also. But i remember in grade 7 I remember some of the boys telling my friend to not etach him zulu because i dont like this mixed guy this is when i started to open my eye and see the hate coming from Africans. So now it lead me to avoid blacks
I have straight hair and fairskin due to my 1 parent being indian and the other of malay decent, but its okay cause when i go overseas people say i look asian

I like coloured people. They come from my people and from your people. They all have different accents and they're intelligent people. In YoungstaCPT's video called Just be lekke, close friends of mine are featured in the middle of his music video. I also see another coloured musician, Craig Lucas is making it to the US. He's unapologetically gay. Both these artists write their own music. They're great people!
