When I was Iron it was by far the most toxic time I had in League. Everyone had a ton of ideas on how the game should be played, gave terrible advice and trashed anyone who made a good play. Now that I rose in ranks (i'm silver 2 now, and still steadily climbing - thanks, skillcapped!) the game became a lot more enjoyable.

I would feel bad for the shit experience people have in smurf queue if they weren't smurfing and giving players in their real elo an even worse experience. Not just talking toxicity, it's really not fun playing against someone incredibly better than you

The thing about smurf queue is how quickly you get into it. It really takes away from having a random sample of players when a few good games start to give you terrible, tilted teammates. I’m affected by it in my own elo on my only account

Even with smurf queue's flaws, I'm still glad it's in the game. Tired of having games where I lose a ton of agency over the outcome bc some sweaty kid needed an ego boost.

Such a coping mechanism. I had this happen to me a couple games ago, my top went 0-6 and was non stop flaming me (jungle). It's so mind numbing. I always ask them if they wanna go on discord and vod review and pin point the point where it's "my fault". To this day, nobody had taken that challenge, simply because they can't.

He's complaining about smurf queue when the issue is this is just like any low elo game, flaming in chat and a bunch of mistakes. Even if this is smurf queue, you're playing against players at a much lower elo than you lmao. The jungle blaming is ridiculous but it's not a "smurf queue" thing, it's just a low elo thing, which is kind of part of the territory when smurfing.

Jimp you might hate smurf queue but as a low elo player there is nothing worse than a smurf turning the game into a toxic stomp.

People should be forced to associate accounts to a phone number and credit card or social security number to prevent smurfs.

I once had a Pyke sup who got angry at me for not flash+heal him before the adc and Morgana killed him, who was trapped in river by them. Cause 'he could have lived' while the opposing not were both half hp and it was the first 5 minutes with me having no mana. I ain't killing anyone before he died even with heal

Thanks for confirming that I made the right decision to never actually play League again. I watch professionals and streams play, and enjoy videos like this because it helps me better understand what they are doing and why they are making the decisions that they are, but I'm too old now to be flamed at by some 14 year old kid with an entitlement complex because I didn't do exactly what he wanted me to do in a video game.

I’m a relatively new player in bronze and dude, Smurfs are absolutely destroying the experience for me. I can see why not many new players stick around. I tend to ask people who are smurfing what their real ranks are and they’re all diamond plus. I’m convinced there are no new players and all the players that are “new” are smurfs. It’s becoming unfun.
