This is the most confusing episode I have watched on this channel

That is so insanely inappropriate. This is why people hate dealerships.

People in the general public won’t believe this . Anybody that spent more than two months in a dealership will 😂

I worked at a big Chevy dealership in high school and college and worked with the sales team. It's a great job to figure out how you don't want to end up in life.

Dealerships in general are toxic.

This is common knowledge

It does tend to be an entertaining work environment though!

I loath car dealerships. I'm more surprised when I can find an honest one than sleezy.

My brother-in-law was a car salesman straight out of college. His grandmother owned a Buick dealership. His father was the president and his brother was the general manager.

Long story short. His grandmother died left the dealership to his father and aunt. GM took the dealership away from them and offered to buy the property. They sold the property to GM for $10 million.

His father and mother retired and one year later they died. So he and his brother split $5 million dollars. My sister insisted he buy a house cash so they always have a roof over their heads. The car business is a yo-yo. They put the rest of the money in retirement accounts and continue to work.

My sister was a travel agent, and my brother-in-law continue to sell cars. For another 20 years, they both continue to work. They both retired and my sister died about two years later.

Thank God, my sister made him put all that money into retirement accounts because my brother-in-law is a gambling fool and an idiot with his money when it comes to women.

The moral of the story is selling cars is something you do as a college job. Or after you retire and have a defined benefit and Social Security. You go out and get a part-time job selling cars. Because there is no equity in selling cars. You get a Social Security check, but these car sales people don’t save a dime for retirement.

I've had friends and acquaintance that were used car salesmen. Most of them couldn't get or hold a job anywhere else.

I don’t understand this episode. What did it have to do with anything?

The fact that she calls up her customers year or two down the line after the sale and asks if they have found a finance or credit line to lower their payment and save, not only makes her a good saleswoman but also a good human being.

" he said to put both hands on the hood and spread your legs and I said boom, you got it" ok pardon me Gail but that boom could go 2 different ways, and I need some clarity because I don't feel it's right to have your good name and integrity besmirched in such a manner!

I’ve worked in dealerships for 25 years. It’s always been bad, every sexist racist comment you can think of is said daily with little to no consequences. The last dealership I worked at was so bad I quit after 3 days and was a very large well known Audi dealer. Managers sat by and just didn’t say a word.

I worked at a ford dealership where one salesman was the champ at bullshit. He used to tell people who weren’t the sharpest that he was loaning them money out of his pocket “buyer assistance” he’d have the customers coming in there and paying him cash weekly on top of making their payments. He just marked up the used vehicle whatever he thought the bad credit buyer would fall for. I saw a guy come in and pay him 5, 000 in cash for his buyer assistance program. He did it for decades. If they didn’t come back and pay him it was no sweat because it wasn’t a real thing anyway. Dude had tons of shady ass tricks.

I worked at an Acura, Jag/Volvo and Nissan dealerships when I was in College. The stories she tells are so true. I've send sales people lie, cheat and steal from customer as well as use drugs on the job. I only worked with a handful of GOOD sales manager all the rest of them where morons, alcoholics drug addicts and serial cheaters. I was almost in a physical altercation with a sales manager because of the way he talked to people. He had a 1993 Acura NSX low mileage that he wrecked being drunk and he flipped over and wrecked a brand new Expedition. It was interesting to work at the dealerships but I'm glad I left over 20yrs ago.
