I wanted a Tesla for many years. My 2019 Camry was paid off with only 32, 000 miles on it. I didn’t need a new car and wasn’t planning on buying one. Tesla offered the 0.99% on the Model Y and I couldn’t pass it up. While I now have a payment again I’m really enjoying having a Tesla

Zero percent interest on an auto loan should be considered a future discount because future money will be worth less due to inflation. Over 5 or 6 years this could amount to more than 10%! Almost a "no brainer".

Repeating the same thing every day. Where is the new incentive? 5k upfront is guaranteed discount. You will only save that much if you keep the car for the life of the loan which research shows most people don’t. Otherwise think about it why wouldn’t they let you choose between the rate and upfront discount?

Because of this high voltage battery report automakers should be comfortable offering a longer warranty. The first to do this will capture more of the EV market. Offering a longer warranty on gas cars is how Kia got their start in the US market and I think it would work for EVs also at very low overall risk for the automaker.

My son’s 2013 Nissan LEAF still gets 65 miles per charge. It originally got 75 miles. The battery bars on the right are down 2 bars. He’s got about 70k miles on it. Not too bad for a 11 year old car.

I’m still very happy w/ my 2021 ‘Y’ and encourage everyone to get a Tesla; however, Musk’s political rhetoric has unhinged many “left leaning” friends who were planning to purchase one. Those lease deals are fantastic. I've been against leasing all my life but it's starting to make sense. I would lease any non-Telsa EV until the ones with the NACS charge port arrive.
