I personally think that people should wait until the 2043 Tesla Model Y that will be right around the corner.

I (supercharge) on rare occasions, but having a Tesla that goes 500+ miles would make me upgrade in a heartbeat!

Decision largely depends on the EV Tax Credit and interest rate promotions. Today you can get a base Model Y for a total cost (principal + interest) of about $41, 500 (or $575/mo)... Even if the 2025 Model Y Juniper is the exact same MSRP, if the tax credit and interest promotion goes away it increases to a total cost of $56, 500 (or $785/mo). Have to weigh the risk/reward and decide if the new features are worth the potential extra cost to you.

With a 95 kWh battery, a Juniper would have a range in the neighborhood of around 390 miles EPA based on around 4.1 miles per kWh. The long range all wheel drive Model Y gets an estimated 308 miles for their 75 kWh battery, so 308 miles / 75 kWh = 4.1 miles per kWh.

The WLTP mileage standard gets numbers about 20% more than EPA, so that gets closer to 500 miles.

There is 0% chance that Tesla would increase range by 64 % to 500 miles . They’ve never done that and even if they can do it, they’d charge you for it. Most companies may add things but this will not be one of them

No major upgrade, don't wait till you are closer to death. Get it now. When the refresh come you can alway trade in if you want the little upgrade that bad.
Just look at the M3 refresh, does not change much. Just the look, here and there a bit. With electronic appliances, upgrade where it matter most is... in the chipset and metal materials. Aesthetical upgrade in appliances does not mean crap.

If they really increase the model y range to 700-800 i would buy it right away . I live in canada its very cold here which reduces the range of the car so if they do that it would be awesome

Just took delivery of my MYLR in Quicksilver. Will only be disappointed in not waiting if the price for Juniper is the same or less. Other than that, I could not be happier. Definitely glad I installed the L2 charger at home so I don't have to SuperCharge. In your opinion, should I go with gloss PPF or matte? Keep up the great work on your videos!

I just picked up a 2024 MYLR and love it. The deals right now are awesome for first time Tesla owners! Would love ventilated seats but you could just get real leather seats from Katzkin and have it installed for $1700 total. Real leather seats would basically eliminate most back sweats issues even in hot days (I live in NV). Ceramic window tint (2 front and windshield) is a must. I would trade up in 3 years or so if the Juniper is significantly better. Enjoying the 24 for now.
