I get pain every time I eat and have been dealing with this for a just a year. Within three months of this starting I dropped 50 pounds. I started at 212 lbs and I’m currently at 160lbs. I feel like shit most days and my energy is always low. The pain is a constant in the upper left rib cage. I’ve experienced constipation and diarrhea. I’ve been tested like crazy and all I get is new medication that has side effects. To say this is frustrating is an understatement. I was told I have autonomic dysfunction and not ibs. I tested positive for POTS with a modified tilt test at home. I don't think that they did it correctly at the heart doctors office. I barely failed it. The doctor thought I had something else wrong so he put me on a month long halter test but nothing showed up. Luckily he referred me to the POTS specialist. I passed the modified tilt test there and was diagnosed with POTS.

I had to self diagnose and then request a test for POTS. The heart Dr wrote me off.

I have all those issues except heart palpitations 😢 my 21 year old son has pots and came out of nowhere 😢he started with h pylori and gastritis and lost 90 pounds . After he got covid that’s when pots kicked in and now he is down 130 pounds 😢😢😢 our GI doctor tested him for all that stuff and pcp gave him blood pressure medicine. Nothing has helped 😢 I have Ibs so now I think my son has it too . I have reached out to many neurologists in the area and even UCSF hospital they don’t treat pots . I reached out to Stanford hospital they said we treat it but our insurance doesn’t want to pay so now I am completely lost don’t know what to do 😢😢😢😢
