In this video, I want to explain why weight loss is not natural. Weight loss goes against the normal functions of the body—to survive. Your body wants to store up energy for a time when you need it.
When people say that all you need to do is balance your meals and have everything in moderation, this is bad advice. They don’t look at factors like hormones and nutrients, which play a huge role in weight loss.
Each type of calorie is influences differently. Protein, for example, triggers the fat-burning process, but not when you have too much. Protein and sugar together—like a burger with a bun and some fries—can cause you to gain weight because this spikes insulin. MSG and stress also cause major spikes in insulin.
You need a lot of vitamin A to keep your body healthy. The best source of vitamin A is egg yolks. However, when you are trying to lose weight, many people try to keep their fat levels lower. You can have cod liver oil to help with vitamin A levels.
Rather than a balanced diet, you want to focus on high-nutrient foods. You want all of your calories to come from vegetables, healthy fats, and protein rather than carbs and sugar.
