Discrete mathematics is the study of mathematical structures that are fundamentally discrete rather than continuous.
The set of objects studied in discrete mathematics can be finite or infinite.
A set is well-defined collection of distinct objects. The objects that make up a set ( element ) can be anything like numbers , people , letters of alphabets etc.
