Ubiquiti Unifi AI Port - with 3rd Party Camera DOES IT WORK??

In this video, I'm looking at the new Ubiquiti Unifi AI port and trying to get it to work with several models of third-party Cameras to add Ubiquiti AI features.

I try the AI port on a TP-Link Tapo Camera, a Hikvision Doorbell and a Hikvision ColorVu Turret Camera with mixed success.

I believe with a future FW update the AI Port will allow multiple cameras to be paired with a single AI Port. How many cameras depends on resolution of cameras or if the cameras are non-AI Unifi cameras. I have several cheap but good ReoLink cameras that will pair nicely with this and the $200 price is reasonable, since I can do 2 of the ReoLink 2K cameras with a single AI Port.

Very insightful video, was excited about ONVIF support but the implementation so far is very disappointing.

Work good with all of my Reolink POE camera, doesn’t work with the wifi doorbell Reolink it work for the first 5 minute afterwards only get the 3 dot trying to connect.
Works no issue with the POE Reolink doorbell.
The alarm setup you can only select device on the mobile app if not it’s automatically for all camera

FYI the Ai Port doesn't seem to like H.265. Go directly into your Hikvision cameras (or other ONVIF cameras) and set the video encoding to H.264 and everything will go smoother. I had the same problem with Dahua cameras.

Is the hikvision nvr in use here? Or are the hik cameras connected to the UniFi switch direct?

Sadly we are going to have to buy dozens of Ui cams as onvif support is still rubbish, but then that's marketing sales skills from ui
