I’m just happy it connects much faster now. Now with Onvif support I have a bunch of old Amcrest cameras I used with BlueIris before I upgraded to UniFi. 15Unifi cameras and now can repurpose a few Amcrest bullet cameras to get those blind spots around the house.

Hi. Thank you for the video. Could you let me know what I’m doing wrong with 5.1 and using a fingerprint with the G4 pro? I can add a fingerprint but there is no option in alarms for nfc or fingerprint. Thank you so much.

How bright is the AI Turret Floodlight compared to G5 Pro with Enhancer?

Really thought 5.1 had answered my prayers - a way of getting UP floodlights to only come on based on an AI 'person' detection trigger from a camera (to prevent them being activated by animals or blowing branches). Trouble is, there doesn't seem to be a 'only when dark' option - there's a (fixed) time schedule, but where I am there's 6 hours difference in sunset times between summer and winter so that's not ideal. Did I miss something?

Got my AI Dome yesterday and installed today. Picture quality is great and overall impression good. Just the flush mount's design isn't perfect. You can install it in the ceiling and click in the camera but when you want to uninstall the camera (change microSD or so) you have to uninstall the flush mount, too, since the unlock hole is placed unreachable. The flush mount could have been designed slightly different, so one could insert a longer 90° metal piece without deinstalling. Strange, since UniFi hardware is usually so thoughtful designed.

Great update - thanks for all the details!

I think many hobbyists/prosumers will be frustrated to find the AI Port's PoE requirement blocks using ONVIF Wi-Fi cameras. Since the video data must flow through it for processing, that's a major limitation.

The AI Port as a daisy-chain PoE device also adds cabling and mounting challenges. While you can mount multiple units near your head-end rack or use the included pole mount, I noticed there's also a rack-mount shelf option. But honestly, why mount it near the camera at all?

That said, UniFi's strategy is smart--it ensures they profit when customers use non-UniFi cameras. Still, from a technical standpoint, a dedicated AI box or co-processor for multiple camera feeds (like some software-centric NVR's) would be far more flexible. Although, knowing UniFi, they'd probably overprice it and label it an "enterprise" solution!

Really, they should just sell reasonably priced full-color night vision cameras. Most dealers and prosumers would happily stick to UniFi cameras and avoid these awkward workarounds.

Can’t understand the price setting for the AI turret, almost the same as the AI pro but the latter has also a 3x zoom?

Could you please make a detailed video on the new notification settings? All moved to one, and my phone no longer shows which camera gets triggered, just one and same notification pops up. Much appreciated

Being able to add AI to an existing camera is a great option. Just set up email notifications so I can grab one when they are released.

Cool. The AI Dome is exactly, what I was looking for, to replace my non AI powered dome camera. Looking forward to a test of yours.

The 5.1 update looks like it will satisfy a lot of my wants! Thanks for running through that!
I’m looking forward to a review on the AI Turret. It may be a blessing that I haven’t been able to get a G5 Turret yet 😉

You said the Ai Turret comes in Black and White. I only see white on the webpage, are you sure it will be available in black?

Please do a comparison video of the Unifi AI LPR vs 2-3 other 3rd party brands of LPR cameras.

Could you do a comparison review for AI dome vs. AI turret vs. AI Pro? Not sure which one I should get. Thanks!

Clay thanks for all of your informative videos! Looking forward to incorporating ONVIF for some of my clients that have non Unifi cameras. Just curious if you've heard anything about the Unifi Viewports not streaming all 16 feeds. I have a couple customers that have more than 16 cameras and created custom Live Views to view all 16 plus toggle the remaining within the same sectors. Everything's been working great for several years and I believe a recent firmware from this Summer removed this capability. They are now receiving a "hardware does not meet the requirements" message on the remaining feeds limiting the feed count down to 12. I've reset to factory defaults, done pretty much everything I can think of. Not sure if there's a way to downgrade firmware? Looks like many have experienced this and thought I'd ask to see if you've come across this and how it was addressed. Thanks again!

I'm wondering how the new AI turret stacks up against the AI pro it seems like they're largely the same although the AI pro says it has some optical zoom?
