Are you saying the we use two tigerVNC apps. Server, on the Server, and client on the desktop or remote desktop?

The magic formula is in the notes/link in the description. Thank you.

How do you set up a VNC connection where both sides can see the remotedly conjured window. I'm thinking of a situation where you'd like to show someone how to do something on their machine, or show where something is and how something is done, or troubleshoot a problem, while they watch.

To small to see much. Why not show the actual entries in a text file below the video?

Idk what is going on but "vncserver" just returns "<display>" for me...

I was following your tutorial and it really mesed up with my Linux Mint. Just after executing the autorun systemd, I could not log into my cinnamon session anymore. The solution I found after researching several hours is that the owner of the .XAuthority file changed from user to the root. I don't know when or why this happened.

Hi. I'm trying to get into my raspberry pi 4 with this. The pi is plugged into the Ethernet. I have run vncserver, it didn't ask for any password at all, btw, it just gave me the server address. I then went to my laptop (in the same house but on wifi), entered the hostname given to me by the pi into TigerVNCand it just says "unable to resolve host by name: name or service not known."
Any suggestions on where to even start looking for a solution here? Google has yielded zero results that are in any way shape or form a) helpful or b) not involving windows 10

Very hard to read your terminal. Can you increase font size, use a heavier font, or record on a smaller screen? Even on my large desktop monitor I can't make out what it says. Video compression is part of the problem. You can't change that, but you can control these other things to account for it. Thanks for the tutorial.

What a big mess (thanks for your video though). Is there a multiplateform Teamviewer competitor in Open Source ? VNC, UltraVNC, TigerVNC... Teamviewer is multiplateform and is a all in one remote control tool, no need of config or anyhting (as I know).

hi, thanks for the video, how can I use vnc server via internet?
My host machine has internet connection but does not have an IP that can be used for remote login, and client has internet too. How can I use VNC via internet only?

Does TigerVNC work with Windows? I use mostly Arch but I do have a gaming PC that I want to remote into occasionally to run updates.
