Our patient from the UK had limb lengthening surgery on the femur eight weeks ago and has gained 5 cm to date.

Not all patients aim for the maximum amount of lengthening! This patient will complete the lengthening when he reaches 5.5 cm, and his external fixators will be removed in the following days.

I think being short hurts more, that’s why they do it.

I am 5'6'', people can call me short. But can never call me weak. I am stronger than 90% of taller people I have met.
I would have increased my height if my parents were either rich or have rich genetics 🧬 or If was guided at right time . But I will always try to be better than who I was.
I am happy with my height❤. But still i want few more Inches 😅

As somebody who's 4 foot 10 at 13 years old, the fact that people are willing to spend risk getting an infection, break their own bones, and have to sit in a wheelchair for months just to fit a toxic beauty standard is a perfect example of society not learning from history. In ancient China, women used to smash their own feet to smithereens with stones to make their feet smaller. This is because small feet used to be a sign of beauty. The smaller your feet, the more beautiful you were. This is no different than what's happening now because of how horrible society treats short people. We live in a world where as long as you're different, you're going to be treated differently.

The body is ergonomically naturally. I wonder how the bones will be in the coming years because of the unnatural pressure and legnth.

And to think when I was little I thought being tall was a curse...my mom would always tell me boy you don't know how lucky you are....now I see being naturally 6'3 as a blessing...I love going places and people say MAN your so tall!

I’m 27 yo and am 5’4. I think if I have the money, this will be the second thing I’ll go for without hesitation.

It's a trip because even the guys over 6' want to be taller. It seems a lot of people are unhappy with their height.
