thanks for making this video explaining the PWM

The M4 iPad Pros gave me eye strain and a motion sickness wave coming over my shoulders within just 5 minutes of using them at the store (the fastest negative reaction I've ever felt). No OLED Apple products for me 😞

That really sucks because I would love a modern good display but I KNOW I wouldn't be able to use any kind of pled or amoled. ips is the only one I can use, which immediately cuts down most of tablets.

The ipad m2 series has temporal dithering which is another type of flickering. Just as bad as pwm. So avoid those devices too

Keep it up. I still can’t upgrade from my iPhone 11

This is the first video that I finally see the pwm on M4 iPad pro, ths. For pwm sensitive people, the OLED screen is simply a straight disaster, I will keep using 2020 iPad pro 12.9.

Can you make a comparison video between pros and cons of iPad Pro M4 Display & iPad Air M2 Displays?

From what I’ve seen on the internet, PWM sensitive people don’t see the flickering either. Their brain perceives that something is off, and they get a strong physical reaction, ranging from motion sickness to even neurological pain in hands or legs.

I don’t have an OLED, but I spend hours drawing on my LCD iPad Pro 12.9, and while I like it alright, it’s getting pretty old in terms of keeping up with software requirements. I’m wondering if I’ll be able to work the same amount of time on new OLED iPads without any issues. I don’t think I’m PWM sensitive, since I was able to draw on it for half an hour in Apple Store without any issues, but I wonder if maybe there could be some inconveniences if you work for longer periods of time.

And I dislike M2 iPad Air for not having FaceID. The power button thing is so stupid.

I don't know if I'm sensitive to pulse modulation so I went to Apple Store for trying it myself I didn't noticed the problem with naked eyes but I did with my phone set to manual shutter speed of 1/4000. I ended up not buying it being scared I needed more time to check if I'm sensitive but I stayed there only for short time. @Teoh are you sensitive to PWM? Can you tell me your experience with it please? I need the iPad for drawing.

That’s a darn shame, I was hoping this new Tandem oled would get rid of PWM. Wack!! So much for looking forward to it going in iPhones.

Suppose my SE3 truly may be the last flicker-free iPhone 😞
