The iPad Pro is the only device that keeps getting better. I don’t touch my Mac hardly ever now. It’s my current method of personal computing. I love it.

Finally a video that is not the tired, “iPadOS sucks and can never replace a laptop” video. What I’ve discovered is that the main reason people disparage iPadOS is because it doesn’t do their workflow in exactly the same way they do it on a Mac. Spoiler, it’s not a Mac. An iPad would work with about 90% of people’s workflows if they’re able to get in a touch-based mindset. If they’re not willing to adopt such a mindset, then maybe the iPad isn’t for them.

One of the very few reviewers who relate to who is watching the video and want to advance and expand on iPad Pro.

Agree to the idea that it's "definitely for creators, it's just what sort of a creator are you". Thanks for this great creator review :)

Christian pastor here. Would love to add something I simply haven't seen engaged in a lot of tech videos, esp regarding iPad: The "Presenter Mode" on Pages is an included feature unique to the iPad (not available on the Mac version). For purposes of public speaking, the app is irreplaceable. In terms of work flow, writing a manuscript, and then pushing a button to have the text transformed into an autoscrolling teleprompter has been a game changer for me over the past few years.
When you couple that with the amount of Zoom meetings you participate in as a pastor as well as the freedom LTE gives you to work on emails etc literally anywhere - not to mention the reading apps (kindle, books, nook, google, adobe, etc) - speaking of the iPad as a mere "consumption device" really just displays a lack of imagination.

I completely agree with his review. I had a similar experience when I upgraded my 2018 iPad Pro 12.9 to the 2023 version. The main reason for my upgrade to iPad Pro 13 m4 was the screen, and I was pleasantly surprised by how light the new model is. I could definitely feel and see the difference. While I'm not a tech reviewer, just a regular user, this upgrade gave me the WOW factor that last year's model didn't.

The way I look at it, the new M4 pro is an enabler and it expands my experience and capabilities to create new things. It challenges me to think and explore new things.

Glad I’m not the only one hitting the lock key instead of delete!

Very appropriate title, most reviews out there are from people from one of these groups:
1) They don't use an iPad at all.
2) They only use it for media consumption and web browsing.
3) They are "trying to return to it" to see if it's a MacBook already.

PREACH!! Loved this review as I couldn’t agree any more! Too many reviewers downplayed this upgrade and said the same things, you hit this out of the park. Love all the upgrades together to make this worth upgrading to if your budget affords it. Lighter vs thinner is overlooked and you nailed it, I like the lightness so much I went with the 11” to compliment my MacBook Air & office set up. A+ for this video, keep the creative content coming!!

Unlike MKBHD who doesn’t use ANY of the Pro apps and he only uses the iPad to watch Netflix and browse the internet… and YET, he complains that the iPad is just an iPad same as before and the more powerful CPU is not needed or doesn’t do anything for him.
If thats YOU, then get the iPad Air. You have no place buying an iPad Pro.
Software like:
Final Cut
Logic Pro
Photoshop
DaVinci Resolve
ZBrush
Procreate
Procreate Dreams
Triple A games: Resident Evil 4, RE8, Death Stranding, etc.
All of these use the extra CPU/GPU power.

Such a refreshing take on the new iPads! So many people are saying the same thing about it being unnecessarily good. I'm upgrading to the 13" soon because I have a 2017 11" iPad Pro that has served me well for many years. And your statement of the ipad's ability to do more makes you push harder to do more to make the most of it is so true!

Absolutely spot on. Why even compare iPad with a Mac. iPad does iPad things beautifully. Do I need M4 ? Why not. Faster iPad is always better. Tired of people comparing iPad with Mac. If you want a Mac go for it. If you want an iPad - This is it. Am loving my iPad which does all my things as I wanted.

The first minute intro of this video is excellent, loved it! Totally true in the end, that the user of the iPad Pro is what makes it pro, no matter how great the hardware is! ❤

Got the iPad Pro 11 m4. Fills out all my needs. Great video as always.

Separately, I’ve always seen the MacBook as useless. The best combo is An iPad Pro + An iMac not a MacBook + iMac 😂

Ordered mine. 13” 1 TB coming from a 2018/2020 non-M iPad Pro… I hope it’s worth the upgrade

Well said Chris, so looking forward to WWDC to see what additional features iPad OS will have (e.g. AI, new process capabilities, etc.). Keep up the great work buddy!

My biggest issue with ipad is iOS and especially the mail app. The way it deals with attachments is so frustrating: I just want to see attachments under the subject like all mail apps. Please fix this Apple.
